Located in the heart of the famous Cannubi Crus in Barolo, the family with its authentic wines is one of the top producers in the region.
The Serio & Battista Borgogno winery has been on the upper part of the Cannubi vineyard, one of the absolute top locations in the entire Barolo wine-growing region, since 1897.
But the family history began in the middle of the 19th century with Cavalier Francesco Borgogno. He produced his own wine, which he then sold in his wife's inn in Barolo. From his son Ludovico, his sons, Serio and Battista, inherited some land and a small farmhouse in Cannubi. With wise foresight, they managed to make your dream of your own winery a reality. Over the years they bought more plots from the Cannubi vineyard and eventually owned 3.5 hectares of this valuable land.
Their entire lives, Serio and Battista have worked tirelessly to fully exploit the enormous potential of the winery. They have thus created the basis for the next generations. Today the Cannubi Cru is one of the best locations in the entire Barolo area.
The memory of Serio Borgogno, who died in 2016, lives on in the vines and in the passion that he gave his family in the cradle. Today the winery is run by Anna and Paola, with great support from their daughters Emanuela and Federica. You are already the 5th generation of this iconic winery. The family produces around 60,000 bottles of wine annually. In addition to Barolo, there are also Barbera, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo wines.
