The Roncaglie vineyard is located in Santa Maria, which is a small hamlet in the municipality of La Morra. The Corino family owns half a hectare of vineyards there with a good orientation. The berries are very carefully selected by hand during the harvest and immediately transported to the cantina for processing.
Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation tanks and lasts about 10 days. The wine is then matured in barriques and also in tonneaux (500L), first and second use, and this process lasts for 24 months. This wine is not filtered and the last part of the maturation takes place with the six-month aging in the bottle.
The result is an expressive, concentrated Barolo with fine tannins, complex aromas, great charisma combined with elegance and harmony and good development potential. Harmonizes very well with game, red meat, roasts and mature cheeses. Drinking recommendation: 2022-2035
