  • The historic Cerretta vineyard, located in Serralunga D'Alba, is considered one of the most important sites in this area. This vineyard contains calcareous and ferruginous soils, which provide the background for the structured and powerful wines that come from this location.

The grapes are selected by hand, gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is then aged for 36 months in 400 liter French Allier oak barrels. Finally, the Barolo 2019 Mauro Sebaste Cerretta DOCG is aged in the bottle for at least 6 months before release.

This Barolo single-vineyard wine has an intense ruby red color with orange reflections. Ethereal aromas and hints of withered roses predominate on the nose. paired with the light scent of undergrowth, which makes the wine very harmonious and complete. The texture on the palate is precise and linear, every dimension carefully crafted and perfectly balanced. The wine has an excellent tannin structure, which allows it to be bottled for a very long time of up to 20 years. A very complex and balanced Barolo single site wine.

Das sagen die Weinexperten des Landes

    Jancis Robinson, Master of Wine:

Medium to deep ruby red. Quite sweet notes of new oak and gingerbread on the nose, masking the sour cherry fruit. On the palate, however, it is very seductive with lots of juicy fruits and oak notes surrounded by strong tannins. It is now ripe and it will be interesting to see whether the oak integrates into the wine as the bottle matures for a longer period of time or rather accelerates its maturation. Rating: 16+ /20
