The Revello Barolo Giachini is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, a grape variety famous for its elegance, structure and finesse. The grapes come from one of the best locations, Lazzarito Vigna Giachini, in the municipality of Serralunga D'Alba. This wine is characterized by its depth, intensity and characteristic Serralunga tannins.
In October of each year the grapes are harvested, destemmed and lightly pressed by hand. Fermentation is carried out using natural yeasts and is then started in transverse fermentation tanks, where the mash remains on the skins for 6 to 8 days. The fermentation is then completed in large stainless steel containers. The wine is aged in French barriques and lasts at least 24 months. 20% new and 80% used barriques are used. Finally, the Barolo is stored in the bottle for a good six months before it goes on sale.
The bouquet of this wine is intense and complex with aromas of red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, accompanied by notes of violets, rose petals and spices. On the palate, the wine shows a remarkable structure with strong but finely integrated tannins. The acidity is lively and ensures good freshness. The taste is harmonious and long-lasting with an impressive depth and complexity. Nuances of ripe fruit, spices, tobacco and mineral notes combine to create an impressive taste experience.
The Fratelli Revello 2019 Barolo Giachini is a wine of great elegance, intensity and power that has the potential to evolve over many years.
