The grapes for the 2022 Mario Giribaldi Dolcetto D'Alba come from the Schiena del Crottine vineyard in Rodello. The Giribaldi family's plot faces southwest and is located on a slope 460 meters above sea level. The soil is relatively stony, mixed with marl and limestone.
After the hand-picking in September, the grapes are gently pressed, destemmed and then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The Dolcetto then matures for around 12 months in large oak barrels. Before the wine goes on sale, it is stored in the bottle for at least six months.
This Dolcetto has a beautiful ruby red color in the glass with intense violet reflections. The nose is dominated by clear scents of violets and ripe fruit. In the mouth, the wine is well structured with intense fruit. The tannin is soft and the wine impresses with its balance.
