Langhe Nebbiolo Crutin DOC is a delicate and juicy red wine obtained from grapes grown and vinified at the Manzone Giovannia Monforte d'Alba winery.
The Crutin, after the Langhe Nebbiolo is named, is a small, historic building located in the heart of the Gramolere area. which has belonged to the Manzone family since 2001. In the Piedmontese dialect, “Crutin” means small cellar carved by hand into the rock where food and wine were previously stored
the temperature was optimal.
After the hand harvest, which takes place in mid/late October, the berries are destemmed and lightly pressed. Spontaneous fermentation then takes place with native yeast in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for just 6 to 7 days in order to obtain crisp fruit and pleasant drinkability. The wine is then aged between large oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. After the refinement is complete, the final wine is bottled on the waning moon.
