The Alario winery owns a plot of land on the Cru Riva Rocca, which is located in the municipality of Verduno. This vineyard enjoys intense sunlight due to its orientation and guarantees high quality grapes. These are harvested by hand in mid-October and carefully selected for further processing. After destemming, fermentation takes place in a temperature-controlled stainless steel tank. Maturation then takes place in used barriques and lasts 2 years, followed by 1 year of bottle aging. Only then does the Barolo go on sale.
This wine has a garnet red color with violet reflections and a complex aromatic profile. It is tightly woven, velvety and has a youthful bite with a pleasant fullness. There is also a present, fine-grained tannin with a slight spice in the finish. A very fine Barolo vineyard wine with lots of aging potential!
The winery uses no herbicides or pesticides in the vineyard and no additives in winemaking. Drinking window: 2023-2035
