fruity, berry and balsamic notes
The Barbaresco Angelo, named after the father of the current owners, is at the top of the quality pyramid of the winery.
Only the very best berries from the family's top locations in Barbaresco and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio (Alba) are selected for processing for this wine. The vinification with submerged pomace in conical oak barrels with a maceration of about 50 days then gives a wine with a traditional, full-bodied and concentrated style. For expansion, the wine is placed in large oak barrels from Austria and matures there for at least 24 months. After another nine months of aging in the bottle, the Barbaresco Angelo 2017 is then on sale.
This wine impresses on the nose with a variety of fruity, berry and balsamic notes. On the palate it is juicy, dense, full-bodied and is wonderfully carried by grainy tannins that linger for a long time. A truly delicious Barbaresco!
This Barbaresco Angelo 2017 is to be enjoyed immediately and for the next fifteen years. A very good accompaniment to roasts, game, pasta with truffles and aged cheeses.
