The grapes for the Albino Rocca Barbaresco Ovello 2020 DOCG come from the Ovello Cru, the largest in the municipality of Barbaresco. The Rocca family owns a plot facing southwest and on the opposite side from the municipality of Barbaresco. In general, this location is considered one of the warmest in the region, which guarantees grapes of optimal ripeness.
After the hand-picked harvest in October, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for a maximum of 20 days. The wine then matures in various oak barrels for the next 2 years. After six months of bottle storage, the wine is sold.
The wine is ready to drink immediately, but has a long aging potential and will develop its potential over many years.
The winery operates integrated viticulture.
