The grapes for this Barbaresco come from the Montersino Cru, located in the smallest Barbaresco producing municipality, San Rocco Seno D'Elvio. The Rocca family owns a parcel there, which faces south-west and is 350m above sea level. The wines of this cru are generally characterized by their fruitiness and great structure.
After the hand-picked harvest in October, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for a maximum of 20 days. The wine then matures in various oak barrels for the next 2 years. After six months of bottle storage, the wine finally goes on sale.
The Albino Rocca Barbaresco Montersino 2020 DOCG wine is characterized by its garnet color, intense fruity notes and its full, structured taste. Its great balance is also worth mentioning. The wine is ready to drink immediately, but has a long aging potential and will develop its potential over many years.
The winery uses no herbicides or pesticides and no ingredients in the winemaking process.
