The grapes for this Barbaresco come from the Montersino Cru, which is located in the smallest Barbaresco producing municipality, San Rocco Seno D'Elvio. The Rocca family owns a plot of land there, which faces southwest at an altitude of 350m. The wines of this cru are generally characterized by their fruitiness and great structure.
After the hand harvest in October, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for a maximum of 20 days. The wine then matures in various oak barrels for the next 2 years. After six months in the bottle, the wine is finally released for sale.
The Albino Rocca Barbaresco Montersino 2020 DOCG wine is characterized by its garnet red color, intense fruity notes and its full, structured taste. Its great balance is also worth mentioning. The drinking window: 2023-2033
