Our house is a very well-preserved half-timbered house from 1832, located in a very small farming village outside of Rottweil in Baden-Württemberg. It is a typical farmhouse of the area, with living quarters and an attached barn on several levels.
We expected that the planning process for our project would not be easy. But little did we know that we would be faced with delays (Covid), additional costs (Covid) and further delays (monument protection and Covid) from so many sides. It was a somewhat painful process, but in the summer of 2012 we finally got the building permit. The construction work then started in February of this year and we are very satisfied with the work so far.
The room will be accessed by an external staircase made of iron. An open kitchen will be in the center of the room and there will be ample seating for wine tasting and dining experiences. We will offer different programs with Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, Barbera and all the other wonderful wines from Piedmont paired with regional and Italian specialties.
We have had this dream for a long time and are very happy that it will finally come true! We hope to offer our first wine event in autumn 2022.
