The grapes for the 2022 Dolcetto D'Alba DOC Le Ciliegie come from two different Manzone family vineyards, both located in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba. There, the growing conditions for the Dolcetto vines are very advantageous due to the soil composition with sandy limestone and layers of red clay.
After the hand harvest, which takes place in mid/late September, the berries are destemmed and lightly pressed. Spontaneous fermentation then takes place with native yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers in order to obtain a rich fruit with a high drinking flow. The wine is then matured in stainless steel tanks. After the refinement is complete, the final wine is bottled on the waning moon.
This Dolcetto country wine has a wonderful freshness paired with notes of red berries, violets and blackberries. On the palate it impresses with its liveliness and rich fruit with pleasant tannins and well-balanced acidity. A classic Dolcetto that brings a lot of joy! Drinking window: 2023-2026
