The grapes for the Gianfranco Alessandria Barbera D'Alba 2021 DOC come from a family vineyard in Monforte D'Alba.
The hand picking of the Barbera grapes usually takes place in September. After destemming and light pressing, the must is fermented in a temperature-controlled fermentation tank. The wine then matures for six months in stainless steel tanks.
Notes of red fruits such as cherries, blackberries and strawberries dominate the spectrum of aromas. On the palate, the Barbera is fresh, velvety and has a present but very well-balanced acidity. Medium body. Beautiful, classic Barbera wine for a small price!
This Barbera goes well with pasta, pizza and appetizers. Enjoy now and for the next 7 years.
