The berries for the 2022 Barbera d'Alba come from various vineyards owned by the Rocca family in the smallest Barbaresco growing area, San Rocco Seno d'Elvio. These plots were replanted with Nebbiolo vines after purchase in 2004.
After hand-harvesting, the Barbera grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and then matured for a short time in stainless steel tanks. The Albino Rocca Barbera D'Alba is a classic, medium-strength country wine with freshness and notes of ripe red berries, cherries and fine spice aromas. On the palate it appears dense and fruity with youthful tannins and well-integrated acidity. This Barbera D'Alba 2022 is medium-bodied with good length and a wonderful everyday wine in the best sense. Drinking window: 2021-2026
