This full-bodied classic from the stainless steel tank has everything that characterizes a fantastic Barbera. Complex aromas, structure, elegance, density, balance, well-integrated acidity and a delicious finish. No wonder this Barbera has been the flagship of the winery for years.

The grapes used to make Roberto Ferraris Barbera d'Asti Nobbio 2020 DOCG come from 70-year-old vines that still produce berries of the highest quality. Harvested by hand in September, the grapes are then fermented in stainless steel tanks after gentle pressing. The aging also takes place in stainless steel tanks and lasts a year. After a short period of bottle storage, the wine is then sold. The Barbera is then ready to drink immediately and for the next ten years. Nobbio goes very well with risotto, poultry, veal and pork.

Roberto Ferrari's Barbera d'Asti Nobbio 2020 DOCG was voted Barbera of the Year by the prestigious American wine magazine "Wine Spectator". After that, many winegrowers in the Monferrato increasingly expanded Barbera wines in steel barrels, as is traditional. The winery operates integrated viticulture. It does not use herbicides, fungicides and pesticides in the vineyard, nor does it use any additives in winemaking.

The Roberto Ferraris Winery was founded in 1923 and is owned by Roberto Ferraris and his family. It is located in the hills surrounding the beautiful town of Agliano Terme, in the heart of Piedmont's best Barbera d'Asti producing area. The soil and microclimate around Nice Monferrato and Agliano Terme are absolutely perfect for the Barbera grapes.

10 hectares of Barbera vines were planted by Roberto's father. Some of these vines have reached an age of 70 years. Roberto uses these grapes to create an incredibly full and round Barbera. He is one of the top Barbera experts in the world and has gained international acclaim.
