Roberto Ferrari's Barbera D'Asti Superiore Bisavolo 2020 DOCG is a beautifully elegant and feminine Barbera. Very good density, structure and balance, long pleasant finish. A great wine at a fair price.
Named after the great-grandfather, the wine is made from Barbera grapes that are carefully hand-selected during the September harvest. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and the wine is then aged in 500 liter oak barrels, tonneau, for a year. This is followed by six months of bottle storage before the Barbera goes on sale.
Deep red tones, a complex bouquet, great elegance and warmth and a harmonious long finish characterize this Barbera red wine. It is ready to drink immediately and for the next 10 years. A wonderful accompaniment to roasts, lamb, game and red meat or simply to relax. The winery uses no herbicides and pesticides in the vineyard and no additives in the winemaking process.
