This Barbera comes from grapes from different vineyards of the winery . Roberto Ferraris uses it to produce an excellent everyday wine, which is considered a typical and authentic representative of the Barbera in this area. Ruby red color, fruity, slightly berry aromas, full-bodiedness, balance and a refreshing, pleasant acidity, are the remarkable properties of this wine.
A perfect combination with salami and other starters, but also good with pasta, grilled sausages and chicken . Fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks, this Barbera is ready to drink immediately and for the next seven years.
THE PRODUCER: ROBERTO FERRARIS
The Roberto Ferraris winery was founded in 1923 by Stefano Ferraris and is located in Agliano Terme in the heart of the historic Barbera d'Asti area. Due to the nature of the soil and the microclimate, the conditions here are excellent for the Barbera vine.
For this reason Roberto Ferrari's father planted his 10 hectare vineyards with Barbera vines, some of which have now reached an average age of 70 years. One can rightly call Roberto a Barbera expert and first class specialist. He runs the winery in the same tradition as his ancestors did. With his Barbera wines he has earned an international reputation for their consistently high quality.
Today the winery produces around 70,000 bottles of wine annually. Roberto presses five different quality wines from the Barbera grapes. Also worth mentioning is the winery's historic wine cellar, which dates back to the early 19th century. Today it serves as a museum and is equipped with a collection of natural sculptures from old vines, all of which Roberto's brother created.
