A very impressive Barbaresco with diverse notes, full-bodied, structure and elegance. Great development potential.
The grapes for this Barbaresco come from the Cru San Stunet, which is located in the Barbaresco municipality of Treiso. Located at an altitude of 400m and facing southwest, the Busso family owns 1.2 hectares of vineyards there.
In October, the grapes are harvested by hand and then fermented in wooden barrels. The wine then matures over a period of 18 months both in barriques and in large oak barrels. After the Barbaresco has been stored in the bottle for half a year, it is sold. The wine is ready to drink immediately, but it can only really develop and retain its great potential over several decades.
Its outstanding characteristics are very complex aromas, good structure and density combined with full-bodiedness and great elegance. The tannins are finely polished and the aftertaste is persistent. A great Barbaresco that goes very well with lamb, game, red meat and aged cheeses. The Busso family of winegrowers practice organic viticulture.
