The vineyards for this Monchiero Barbera D'Alba Superiore are located in the municipalities of Alba, Castiglione Falletto and La Morra. After the manual harvest in September of each year, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then matured in a Slovenian oak barrel for twelve months.
This Barbera has a very good balance between alcohol content, acidity and tannin and is therefore the best prerequisite for good longevity. Intense fruit notes predominate on the nose and the Monchiero Barbera D'Alaba is dense, structured and pleasantly aromatic on the palate. Goes well with pasta dishes, grilled dishes and appetizers based on sausage and meat. Ready to drink immediately and for the next six years. A very good country wine with drinking flow.
