This Dolcetto d'Alba is a red wine that literally tastes of tradition, because the Massolino family has been producing it since 1896. Only the best Dolcetto grapes are hand-picked for winemaking. The fermentation then takes place both in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and in cement tanks. The following expansion also takes place in cement tanks and after a short bottle storage, the Dolcetto d'Alba goes on sale. The result is a beautifully soft and round wine that embodies that certain Piedmontese DNA.
The nose is dominated by fresh, fruity, sweet and elegant aromas. On the palate you can feel freshness and a pleasant warmth, which then opens up to a variety of aromas that suggest a dense and concentrated wine. The fruitiness and vinosity naturally predominate, leaving a long and pleasant aftertaste. This classic Dolcetto is much more than just an everyday wine. It also goes very well with cured meats and cheeses or with pasta, risotto and red meats, especially grilled meats, which go well with its structure and increase its flow even more.
