This classic Guido Porro Barolo Gianetto 2017 DOCG vineyard wine has a garnet red colour, fruity, berry aromas, a rounded tannin structure and a pleasantly full taste with a long finish. The Gianetto vineyard is located in the south-west at an altitude of just under 250m, just outside the municipality of Serralunga D'Alba. The harvest is done by hand with immediate destemming and soft pressing of the grapes in the winery.

Temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in large Slovenian oak barrels for 24 months. After all, the wine is stored in the bottle for almost a year before it is sold. The Barolo is ready to drink immediately and for the next 15 years. The winery does not use any herbicides, fungicides or pesticides in the vineyard and does not use any additives in the winemaking process. The Barolo goes very well with game, roast beef with a hearty sauce and mature hard cheese.


The Guido Porro winery is located in the hills of Serralunga d'Alba, on the main road that connects Monforte to Gallo, Baudana, Serralunga and Alba. This region is characterized by beautiful sweeping vistas, lush vineyards, historic villages and fantastic Barolo wines.

Guido's family has been in the wine business for four generations. He is supported by his wife Giovanna. Guido manages 8 hectares of pristine vineyards, including plots in the Crus Vigna Rionda, Lazzairaso, Gianetto and Santa Caterina. His wines are famous for their powerful character, but also for their elegance and aging potential. He makes 4 Barolo Cru wines and a selection of other wines including Barbera, Nebbiolo and Dolcetto.
