A Barbera made from grapes from the St.Catarina vineyard . The harvest takes place in early October and the grapes are processed immediately after harvest. After destemming and pressing, the fermentation phase takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for half a year and is carried out in large wooden barrels. Dark red color, fruity aroma, spicy taste with pleasant tannins are the most striking features of this wine.
This Barbera is ready to drink immediately and for the next 7 years. It goes particularly well with salami, pasta and grilled sausages. Guido Porro does not use herbicides, fungicides or pesticides when working in the vineyard. When preparing the wine, he dispenses with any additives.
