    Above the municipality of Barolo lies one of the most renowned vineyards in the entire Barolo region. This location, which stretches over almost 19 hectares from east to south, is called Cannubi. The Barolo Cannubi wines are characterized by particularly accessible tannins and great elegance. The Borgogno family owns 3 hectares of vineyards in a particularly good position on the Cannubi vineyard.

    During October the grapes are picked by hand and carefully selected. After destemming and gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in an oak vat. Maturation then takes place in a very large oak barrel over a 2-year period. After another year of bottle storage, the wine finally goes on sale.

    Fratelli Borgogno Barolo Cannubi 2019 DOCG then has a ruby ​​red color, fruity, berry and spicy aromas combined with great elegance and impressive harmony . The tannins are compact but very accessible. In the mouth the Cannubi is balanced, dense and juicy, powerful and long in the finish.

    Since 1897, the Borgogno family has been producing Barolo in the heart of Cannubi and for five generations they have lovingly cultivated their vineyards to produce a traditional wine that conveys all the authenticity of our land. Today, as then, this iconic winery retains its absolutely family character. The memory of Serio Borgogno, the grandfather of the current owners Emanuela and Federica, lives on in his vineyards and in the passion that he was able to pass on to his family.

    This Cannubi is a wonderful accompaniment to game, roasts, red meat and mature cheese.

    Fester, herber, tabakiger und teeriger Duft nach mehr schwarzen als roten Beeren mit ledrigen Tönen, ein wenig Pilzen, Tomaten und einem Hauch Speck. Recht fest gewirkte, herb-saftige, jugendliche Frucht, reifes Tannin, etwas pflanzliche bis florale Nuancen, ein wenig Leder, nachhaltig am Gaumen, gewisse Tiefe, Salz im Hintergrund, ein Hauch Lakritz und Pfeffer, recht eleganter Stil, sehr guter, recht saftiger und etwas tabakiger Abgang mit einem Hauch Wurzelgemüse und ätherischer Würze.
