Forteto della Luja Barbera D'Asti Mon Ross 2021 DOCG is a classic Barbera d'Asti with good drinking flow, produced in the hills of Loazzolo, above the Monferrato town of Canelli.
The grapes are grown using traditional, manual techniques. When the grapes are ripe, they are harvested selectively and gradually and placed in crates to protect the fruit. The grapes are crushed and fermented with the winery's own yeast. The must is stored in small temperature-controlled vats and, according to ancient tradition, transferred to small oak barrels for a second fermentation and four months of aging. After stabilizing during the cold winter months, the wine is bottled in spring, after the first full moon in March.
Forteto della Luja Barbera D'Asti Mon Ross 2021 DOCG is a classic table wine that is served young and slightly chilled with cold cuts, antipasti, pasta with tomato sauces, pizza, fish or white meat. The wine can also be enjoyed at room temperature with vegetable soups or roast meat.
