Flavio Saglietti Brunate Barolo Wein 2013 DOCG is an outstanding single site wine with density, fullness, balance and harmony. Powerful, but also elegant with polished tannins and great aging potential.
The Cru Brunate is located on the eastern vineyard side of the municipality of La Morra, called Bricco del Dente, which at 553m above sea level is the highest vineyard in this area.
Flavio's Barolo Wine 2013 Brunate impresses with a wide range of aromas. Complex berry and balsamic notes are predominant. Polished tannins and a pleasant freshness of tannins on the palate are just as impressive as the balance and harmony of this Barolo. An extremely complex wine.
The harvest takes place during the month of October and after a careful selection, the grapes are harvested by hand. After destemming and light pressing, they are then fermented in a temperature-controlled stainless steel tank. After that, the Barolo is aged for 24 months. 12 months in large oak barrels and then another 12 months in barriques. Finally, a 12-month bottle storage follows before the wine is sold. A great Barolo, ready to drink now and for the next 20+ years. A wonderful accompaniment to game, roasts, red meat and mature cheeses.
