Flavio Saglietti Barolo Brunate 2016 DOCG impresses with a wide range of aromas. Complex berry and balsamic notes are predominant. Polished tannins and a pleasant freshness of tannins on the palate are just as impressive as the balance, elegance and harmony of this wine. Great expansion potential! The 2016 Barolo vintage is considered a century of vintage, and the Saglietti Brunate wines are Baroli in a class of its own!
The harvest takes place during the month of October and after a careful selection, the grapes are harvested by hand. After destemming and light pressing, they were then fermented in a temperature-controlled stainless steel tank. After that, the Barolo is aged for 24 months. 12 months in large oak barrels and then another 12 months in barriques. Finally, a 12-month bottle storage follows before the wine is sold. A great Barolo, ready to drink now and for the next 20+ years. A wonderful accompaniment to game, roasts, red meat and mature cheeses.
