A fantastic Roero Riserva that impresses with its complexity and balance.
Roero is a DOCG designation of origin for wines from the region of the same name, which extends over 19 municipalities around the city of Canale. From the grapes of the Nebbiolo grape variety, varietal red wines are pressed that show lots of fruit and spice.
This organic wine Deltetto Roero Riserva Braja is a Roero of the highest quality. It has depth and density, dark fruit and all paired with compact, polished tannins and a good draw. We recommend red meat, game or mature cheese as food companions.
After the Nebbiolo grapes have been handpicked in autumn, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine matures in large oak barrels and also in barriques and lasts a total of 30 months. This is followed by a one-year bottle storage and only then does the Roero go on sale. The wine is ready to drink immediately and for the next 10+ years.
