This organic Roero Arneis has been produced by the Deltetto family since the 1970s and is the flagship of the winery. After hand-picking, the grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The expansion then takes place in the stainless steel tank and takes six months. After a short bottle storage, the wine is then put on the market.
The Daivej wine has a straw yellow color, exotic notes and a fresh, characterful taste. Incidentally, Roero Arneis is one of the few wines whose taste cannot be felt on the tongue, but only on the palate. This Roero Arneis is very suitable as an aperitif and also goes well with starters. The wine is ready to drink immediately and for the next three years.
The producer: Deltetto
Carlo Deltetto took over the management of the winery from his father Tonino a few years ago. As it has become tradition in Piedmont, Carlo is also supported by the whole family. His parents and also his two sisters hold important functions in the winery.
Founded in 1953 by Carlo Deltetto, the grandfather of the current owner, the winery is located in the middle of the municipality of Canale. The company has grown steadily over the following decades, and today Deltetto is an established player in the region.
Deltetto has made a name for itself for the production of high quality white wines, dry sparkling wines and autochthonous red wines. The Roero Arneis grape variety is widespread in the area around Canale due to the nature of the soil, and the white wines are made from this grape variety the flagship of the winery. Incidentally, Roero Arneis is one of the few wines whose taste cannot be felt on the tongue, but only on the palate. The Nebbiolo has also found a home in the Roero area and Carlo Deltetto produces a Barolo Parussi single-site wine as well as a Nebbiolo D'Alba, as well as the Roero wine, which can only be found in this area. The Deltetto winery operates organic viticulture.
