An elegant and well-balanced Barbera Superiore with diverse aromas, good structure and density.
This Barbera D'Alba Superiore has been an integral part of the Deltetto wine range for years. An elegant wine that has a variety of fruity, berry and spicy notes. The well-integrated acidity pleases the palate, and the beautiful juiciness and density support the elegant drinking flow. The name Bramè is an omen, because in the local dialect Bramè means something like longing for or being desired! A wine that should simply be enjoyed. Best with poultry or pork, pasta with salsiccia (sausages), but also with Piedmontese starters such as carne cruda (tartar).
The Barbera grapes are harvested by hand in early October and then immediately destemmed and pressed in the winery. The fermentation then takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. What follows is the one-year aging in large oak barrels and after a short period of aging in the bottle, the Barbera finally goes on sale. The wine is ready to drink immediately and for the next ten years. The winery operates organic viticulture.
The producer: Deltetto
Carlo Deltetto took over the management of the winery from his father Tonino a few years ago. As has become a tradition in Piedmont, Carlo is also supported by the entire family. His parents and his two sisters hold important positions in the winery.
Founded in 1953 by Carlo Deltetto, the grandfather of the current owner, the winery is located in the heart of the municipality of Canale. Over the decades that followed, the business grew steadily and today, Deltetto is an established name in the region.
Deltetto has earned a reputation for the production of high quality white wines, dry sparkling wines and autochthonous red wines. The Roero Arneis grape variety is widespread in the Canale area due to the nature of the soil, and the white wines are made from this grape variety the flagship of the winery. Incidentally, Roero Arneis is one of the few wines whose taste cannot be felt on the tongue but only on the palate. The Nebbiolo has also found a home in the Roero area and Carlo Deltetto produces a Barolo Parussi single-vineyard wine as well as a Nebbiolo D'Alba and the Roero wine, which can only be found in this area. In addition to the Nebbiolo red wines, Deltetto produces a Barbera Superiore that has a lot of elegance and drinking flow. The Deltetto winery practices organic viticulture.
