The Rocca family owns a few hectares of vineyards in the small area of San Rocco Seno d'Elvio, which belongs to the Barbaresco Zone. The Dolcetto grapes, from which this excellent country wine is pressed, also come from there.
Grapes are handpicked under normal growth conditions in September of each year. After fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel barrels, maturation takes place over a six-month period in stainless steel tanks. The result is a fresh Dolcetto D'Alba with fruity aromas of red berries and cherries. On the palate, the wine is smooth and dense. The tannin is ripe, the acidity is pleasantly present and well integrated.
This Dolcetto D'Alba is to be enjoyed immediately and for the next 4 years. As a food accompaniment, it goes well with salami, pasta, rice dishes and grilled sausages and chicken.
