The berries for the 2021 Barbera d'Alba come from various vineyards owned by the Rocca family in the smallest Barbaresco growing area, San Rocco Seno d'Elvio. After the purchase in 2004, these plots were replanted with Nebbiolo vines.
After hand-picking, the Barbera grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and then matured in stainless steel tanks for a short time. The Barbera D'Alba is a classic, medium-bodied country wine with freshness and notes of ripe red berries, cherries and fine spice aromas. On the palate it is dense and fruity with youthful tannins and well-integrated acidity. This Barbera D'Alba 2021 is medium-bodied with good length and a beautiful everyday wine in the best sense.
This wine can be enjoyed immediately and for the next 4-5 years. Goes very well with appetizers, pasta and grilled sausages.
