Lively Dolcetto with ripe fruit, structured and soft on the palate with pleasant tannins.
Claudio Alario Dolcetto Sori Costa Fiori 2021 DOCG comes from the vineyard of the same name located in the municipality of Diano D'Alba and planted about 50 years ago . Its exposure is in the south-west, which allows the grapes to reach optimal maturation. The geological structure of the soil, of Mycenaean origin, is rich in white marl where the vine finds its natural habitat.
The grape harvest usually takes place in September of each year. The hand-picked grapes are immediately destemmed in the cantina and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The one-year aging period also takes place in stainless steel tanks. After a short period of bottle storage, the Dolcetto is then sold.
Claudio Alario Dolcetto Sori Costa Fiori 2021 DOCG has an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. The aroma is determined by ripe fruits, backed by exotic notes. In the mouth one feels a full, yet soft and well-structured taste. The tannins are ripe and slightly sweet and the finish is persistent. A very successful Dolcetto! This wine was appreciated by King Victor Emmanuel II more than a century ago. Goes well with appetizers, pasta, pizza and also with grilled sausages.
